ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಒಂದು ತಾಲೂಕು ಕೇಂದ್ರ.ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ನಿಜಾಮ (ಪುಟವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿತವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ)ರ ಕಾಲದ ತಾಲೂಕು ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಆಗ ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ವನ್ನು "ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ" ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈಗ ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಗರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ. ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ತಾಲೂಕು ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಹೆಸರು ವಾಸಿ.ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕುಕನೂರು ಗ್ರಾನೈಟ್ (ಪುಟವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿತವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ)ಗೆ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿ.ದೇಶದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ನಿತ್ಯಾ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅತೀ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ತಾಲೂಕಾಗಿದೆ.ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು ೧೪೪ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳು ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ೫ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು ಬೇಚಿರಾಗ ಅಂದರೆ ಜನವಸತಿ ರಹಿತ ಮತ್ತು ೧೩೯ ಜನವಸತಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ.ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ,ಕುಕನೂರು,ಹಿರೇವಂಕಲಕುಂಟಾ,ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಒಟ್ಟು ೪ ಹೋಬಳಿಗಳು ಇವೆ.ಈ ತಾಲೂಕು ೩೩ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.ವ್ಯವಸಾಯವು ಬಹುತೇಕ ಮಳೆ ಆದಾರಿತವಾಗಿದೆ.
Yelburga is around 40 km north-west of Koppal Steeped in history.Yelburga was ruled by a famous dynasty during dawn of 11th century and was called 'Yerambarga' then. An edict obtained from the place explains about Yelburga from AD 1026 to AD 1126. Itagi, 22 km away, is famous for a 12th century Mahadeva Temple.Gajendragarh (12 km north), Kuknur, Manglur and Nidgundi are among the surrounding places. Hubli Airport (103 km west) and Bellary Airport (105 km east) are at equal proximity from the place. Banapur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
COMPUTERIZATION: We are happy to intimate the citizens of Yelburga Town that we have computerized the Birth & Death certificates from 1999 to till date under State Government KMRP computerization scheme,from now onwards citizens are requested to visit the office for registration and getting of Birth and Death Certificates by paying service fee.Citizens are requested to make use of this facility.
ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ: ಯಲಬುರ್ಗಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತ 1999ರಿಂದ ಈ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ನೊಂದಾಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಾ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೆವೆ.ಹಾಗೂ ಇದರ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸದುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
